Microsoft Stacks Up Another Android Win

Redmond-based Microsoft has stacked on another Android patent licensing win, this time with Taiwanese firm Wistron Corp.. According to Microsoft, it will provide broad patent coverage for Wistron's tablets, mobile phones, e-readers, and other consumer devices running the Android or Chrome platform. Financial details of the deal were not announced. The win is the latest in a recent series of patent licensing wins for Microsoft, which claims that parts of the Android OS violate its patents. The firm has been demanding royalties from electronics manufacturers using Android.
