Cray Wins Upgrade In Switzerland

Seattle-based supercomputer maker Cray said today that it has scored an upgrade contract with the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre. Cray said that the upgrade, of a Cray XT5 system, will be to its Cray Gemini system interconnect and new AMD Opteron 6200 Series processors. Financial impact of the upgrade was not disclosed.
