Cray Wins Upgrade In Germany
Seattle-based Cray, the supercoputer developer, said this week that it won an upgrade deal in Germany. Cray said the contract will go to upgrade and expand both its Cray XC supercomputer and Sonexion storage systems at the Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD)--the German National Meteorological Institute in Offenbach. Financial details of the contract win were not announced by Cray. Cray originally won the deal to supply supercomputers to the Institute in January of 2013.
