Pixetell Acquired, To Shut Down

Portland-based Pixetell, the online screen recording and sharing software service run by Ontier, has been acquired and will shut down, according to the firm's website. According to the firm, the service will be shut down on May 31, 2011. Buyer of the firm was not announced. As part of the shutdown, Pixetell said that Brainshark, Inc. will be offering a subscription to its users for a similar service. Pixetell was founded in 2008 by Sebastian Rapport.
