Dwellable Acquired By HomeAway
Seattle-based Dwellable, which develops an online, vacation rental search engine, has been acquired by vacation rental marketplace operator HomeAway, HomeAway said late Wednesday. Financial terms of the deal wer enot disclosed. As part of the deal, Dwellable will shut down it s mobihle app and website, and will shut down on October 1st. HomeAway also will be moving Dwellable's team to Austin. Dwellable was backed by Maveron and Version One Ventures, Spencer Rascoff (Zillow), Glenn Kelman (Redfin), Jeff Lanctot (Mixpo), Oren Etzioni (Farecast), and Rob Solomon (HomeAway, Groupon). The company had arised $2M for the startup in June of last year.
