Google Invests $100M In Oregon Wind Farm
Search engine giant Google said today that it has invested approximately $100M in a new wind farm nearly Arlington, Oregon. According to Google, the new Sherpherds Flat Wind Farm, which is expected to be the largest wind farm in the world, will produce 845MW of energy in 2012, enough to power more than 235,000 homes. The wind farm is contracting its electricity out to Southern California Edison, a California power utility. Google said the investment brings its total invested in clean energy to more than $350M.
