Insitu Ties With iRobot

Bingen, Washington-based Insitu, the maker of unmanned aircraft, said yesterday that it has linked with iRobot Corporation, as a distributor of iRobot's unmanned ground vehicles in Australia and New Zealand. Insitu said it will help simplify logists and training for Australian and New Zealand customers, and will establish a facility for on-site training, repair services, and inventory storage in Brisbane. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. iRobot, in addition to making consumer robots, has a division developing military and industrial robots. Insitu is a subsidiary of Boeing Company.
