MicroVision Opens Research Center In Singapore

Redmond-based MicroVision, the developer of pico- and micro-display technology, said this morning that it has opened a research and development center at Singapore's Nanyang Technological University (NTU). MicroVision said the facility will focus on developing products using its PicoP display technology. The new center is its first outside the US, and will be staffed with up to 25 engineers. MicroVision said it hopes to tap the expertise of NTU students and staff, and also access the hub of technical talent in Singapore. MicroVision said it will have a customized labaratory at NTU's Innovation Center, and will work directly with NTU's School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the Division of Physics and Applied Physics.
