WhitePages Launches Hiya Contact Management Service

Seattle-based WhitePages has launched a new, mobile and web contact management service called Hiya, which it says will "bring address books into the 21st century." The firm said its new app syncs iPhone and Gmail contacts with its WhitePages directory, and help users to keep their contact current. WhitePages, which is headed by Alex Algard, said it will use its WhitePages directory to fill in missing information and details for users of the new service. WhitePages looks to be targeting services like Plaxo, and other companies which help users to manage their contacts. The new service is free, and WhitePages said it will not contact, publish, or share users' contacts.
