Former Spam King Restarts In Seattle
Former "spam king" Robert Soloway, who went to prison in 2008 for massive spam, mail fraud, and tax violations, has resurfaced in Seattle, after being released from prison, according to Wired. Soloway--who said he sent over 10 trillion spam e-mails in his heydey--apparently now lives in an apartment in Seattle working at a print shop. Soloway had been incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution in Sheridan, Oregon. Soloway had previously used zombie computers, spoofing, and other techniques to run Newport Internet Marketing, once the Internet's largest source of email spam.
