TriQuint Gets $17.5M Contract

Hillsboro, Oregon-based TriQuint Semiconductor reported today that it has received a new, $17.5M manufacturing development contract, from the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory. TriQuint said the award, made as part of a Defense Production Act Title III for gallium nitride (GaN) manufacturing, will go towards its gallium nitride technologies and products. The firm said the work on the contract will be performed its its Richardson, Texas facility.
