Microsoft, Southwest Airlines Tie On Windows 7 Promotion

Microsoft has tied with Southwest Airlines to promote Windows 7, with free holiday photos with Santa, the companies said today. According to Southwest and Microsoft, starting December 2nd, they will be offering free holiday photos to customers at 26 airports nationwide, where they have have their photo taken with Santa or with a holiday-themed backdrop. The two said that a "Windows 7 Elf" will then show customers how to edit, share, and store their photos, and will allow them to print a copy of their photo at the airport or download it online. Financial details of arrangement between Microsoft and Southwest were not disclosed.

The airports involved in the promotion include Albuquerque, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, El Paso, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Nashville, New Orleans, Oakland, Ontario, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, San Jose, San Antonio, St. Louis, Seattle and Tampa.
