Microsoft Spins New Bing Homepage Photo Contest

Microsoft's Windows Live team and Bing said Thursday that they are running a new, photo contest, which will feature someone's photo on the Bing home page. Microsoft said, as a promotion for the release of the firm's recent Windows Live Essentials 2011, it would hold a competition asking for a cloud-themed photo related to how Windows Live connects a PC to the cloud. The company said the contest ends October 22nd, and that 10 winners will have their photo features on a Windows 7 Theme Pack, with one grand prize winner getting their photo featured on the Bing homepage on November 8th. Windows Live 2011 includes new versions of Microsoft's Messenger, Mail, Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Writer, Mesh and Family Safety products.
