Walk Score Expands Heat Maps
Seattle-based Front Seat Management, the developer of Walk Score, which calculates the livability of locations based on how easy it is to walk to stores, services, and other destinations in cities, said Monday that it has expanded its heat maps to more U.S. cities. The firm's walkability "heat maps", which previously were only being offered up to the 40 largest cities, now includes 2,500 U.S. cities. The firm's data is being used to help people decide on the best place to live, work, or travel based on walkability.
