Portland-based dotCal, a developer of software used to promote local meetings and events, claimed Thursday that it is seeing lots of adoption by community newspapers. According to the firm, it has signed such publications as the Portland Tribune, Clackamas Review, Lake Oswego Review, The Time Tualatin, Oregon City News, and many others. Financial details of the wins have not been disclosed by the firm. dotCal said its software allows newspapers, businesses, nonprofits, and others to share and publish their event across multiple, online calendar platforms.
