Marchex Gets Into Pay-Per-Call
Seattle-based Marchex announced this morning that it has jumped into the pay-per-call leads market, saying that it has launched the Marchex Pay-For-Call Exchange, a call advertising service which will connect advertisers to customers. The firm said the firm had rolled out the service to "select" customers in 2009. Marchex said it will create, manage, and optimize advertiser campaigns in online, offline, and mobile media. Pay-per-call advertisers typically help promote businesses and track leads to those businesses based on unique phone numbers. Marchex said that so far, its partners in the effort include Razorfish, ADT, PRIMEDIA, and Jingle Networks.
