Signature Genomic Laboratories Acquired By PerkinElmer

Spokane-based Signature Genomic Laboratories, a provider of diagnostic genetic testing services, has been acquired by PerkinElmer, PerkinElmer said today, in a deal worth $90M. According to PerkinElmer, the acquisition will strengthen the firm's existing genetic testing service business, as well as help it in the cancer diagnostics area. Signature was founded by Lisa G. Shaffer, PhD and Bassem A. Bejjani, MD.
