Microsoft Pushes Hardware Accelerated HTML5
Redmond-based Microsoft said Tuesday that it has enabled hardware accelerated support for HTML5, in its latest version of Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview. According to Microsoft, the latest browser taps graphical processing units (GPUs) to accelerates HTML rendering and increases web performance. Microsoft also said it has rolled out a new JavaScript engine which takes advantage of modern multi-core processors.
