Microsoft Launches Internet Explorer 9
Microsoft last night launched a new, major upgrade to its web browser, Internet Explorer. Microsoft said the new, Internet Explorer 9 has been redesigned to provide a "more immersive, more beautiful" web experience. Among upgrades to the browser are a way to "pin" websites onto the Windows 7 taskbar, as if those websites were native Windows 7 applications; a "Jump List"; use of hardware-accelerated HTML5 and graphical processing units to improve rendering; and new security tools.
