Winshuttle Acquires German Firm

Bothell, Washington-based Winshuttle, a developer of software which links Microsoft Excel with SAP, said today that it has acquired German firm A1 Professional Software. A1 is a developer of productivity and test software for SAP. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to Winshuttle, it will create a new German subsidiary in Bremen, Germany, headed by Klaus Garms, founder of A1 Professional Software. Winshuttle said that A1's customers include Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, Lufthansa, and Siemens.
