Planar Gets UK Military Win

Beaverton, Oregon-based Planar Systems, a developer of electronic displays, reported today that it has won a contract to provide thin film, electroluminescent technology for military vehicle displays for the United Kingdom. According to Planar, its TFEL display technology was selected by UK-based Dytecna SYstems Engineering, for a new display planned for use in military vehicles, containers, shelters, marine, and rail applications. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Planar said the display is geared towards requirements for the UK's Ministry of Defense.
