Eid Passport Adds To Patent Warchest
Portland-based Eid Passport, a developer of identity authentication products, has added to its patent warchest, saying Thursday that it was recently awarded a new U.S. Patent, number 7,631,805. The patent covers "Systems and Methods for Managing Security at Plural Facilities". The firm said the new patent covers identity management and access control for personnel looking to enter secure facilities, including military bases, government buildings, and critical infrastructure locations. The U.S. Patent and Trademark office says the patent was granted on December 15th, naming Steve A. Larson, Timothy J. Chinn, Ronald W. Miller, and Syed J. Mahmud as inventors of the patent. Eid Passport filed for the patent in August of 2004.
