Eid Passport Sues Intellicheck Mobilisa

Portland-based Eid Passport, a developer of identity authentication technology, has sued Port Townsend, Washington-based competitor Intellicheck Mobilisa, the firm said today. According to Eid Passport, it alleges anticompetitive and predatory conduct in the U.S. military market by Intellicheck Mobilisa, claiming that Intellicheck has attempted to "unlawfully monopolize" the market for electronically validated, state-issued driver licenses. Among the allegations, Eid Passport said Intellicheck Mobilisa acquired a key supplier of Eid Passport, Positive Access Corporation, with the purpose of cutting the firm off from access to that software.
