Plurk: Microsoft Stole Our Code
Asian micro-blogging service Plurk has accused Microsoft China of ripping off the firm's service, claiming Monday that MSN China's "Juku" feature -- a microblogging service -- ripped off more than 80% of the site's code. As evidence, Plurk showed nearly identical snipped of Javascript and web page code which were clearly copied from the firm's site. In response, Microsoft said this morning that it "takes intellectual property very seriously" and suspended the Juku beta feature, and is investigating the issue. Microsoft said the feature was developed by a "third-party vendor" for its MSN China joint venture. Microsoft said it is working with its MSN China joint venture to investigate the situation.
