Platial Looks To Migrate Frappr Users
Portland-based Platial, which operates an online service which allows users to create their own interactive collection of maps, and search maps for services and information, is looking to move users of Frappr over to the firm's main site. Platial, which bought Frappr back in 2007, told users of Frappr today that it would start charging $24.99 to existing Frappr users to keep their original classic maps, or allow Frappr users to export their maps via KML. Frappr's web services allowed web site visitors to add themselves to an interactive map. Platial said that, effective January 1, 2010, the Frappr "Classic" Guest Map will be retired by the firm.
