Platial Rolls out Map Sharing Features

Portland, Oregon-based Platial.com, and online web site and social networking site for sharing photos and maps, has added a new tool to help bloggers and web site owners to create their own maps. The firm said that its new MapKit feature allows users to cut and paste code from Platial's web site, to share places of interest to readers. Platial allows companies to develop their own map mashups, and is backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Omidyar Network, Sherpalo Ventures, along with individual angel investors.
