Amazon's UGC Ad Hits The Airwaves
The user generated commercial that won Amazon's commercial conference in September is now making its into commercials in markets around the country. Amazon, which awarded $20,000 in gift cards plus a trip to a film festival to the winner, Angela Kohler of Los Angeles, has been using the user generated spot -- 'Kindlicious'-- on broadcasts on DIRECTV and elsewhere. Amazon did not respond to inquiries earlier this week on the extent and distribution of the spots, or if it would be using the entries from any of the other finalists. The spots have been running for at least the past two weeks.
