Amazon Hits $3 Billion In Small Business Loans

Seattle-based Amazon said today that it has just passed up $3 billion in loans to small businesses, with more than $1 billion in the last 12 months, to small businesses, through Amazon Lending. Amazon Lending, which it launched in 2011, offers up short-term business loans to businesses selling on Amazon. Amazon said that so far, more than 20,000 small businesses have received a loan from Amazon, with amounts ranging from $1,000 to $750,000.
