Clearwire Expands Into Philadelphia

Kirkland-based Clearwire said today that the firm is expanding its service into Philadelphia, and has named a General Manager for the market. Clearwire said that Andrew Kupiec has been named GM for the Philadelphia market, as the firm launches consumer availability of the service in the city. The wireless carrier said that Philadelphia residents can sign up for its service on its web site, and also at four, CLEAR retail stores rceently opened in the area. Clearwire said its 4G service is expected to be available in more than 25 markets, and cover more than 30 million people by the end of the year.
