Clearwire Inks International Roaming Deals

Kirkland-based wireless network operator Clearwire Communications, is extending its network today with a couple of roaming deals. Clearwire said today that it has signed an memorandum of understanding with WiMAX operators UQ Communications, based in japan, and Yota, based in Russia. According to Clearwire, the deal establish WiMAX roaming between the operators. Clearwire said that the operators plan to collaborate together on business and technical aspects to make roaming a possibility for their subscribers. Clearwire said it also has existing relationships with Global Alliance Partners YTL Communications of Malaysia, wi-tribe of Pakistan, Vee Telecom of Taiwan, and Global Mobile of Taiwan, also around establishing roaming between the vendors.
