Jive Targets Federal Government With New Reseller

Portland-based Jive Software is targeting its enterprise social networking software toward the Federal Government, saying today that it has inked a deal with Carahsoft Technology Corp., a GSA schedule IT solutions provider. Carahsoft is based in Reston, Virginia. Jive said its software is now being used by "numerous" federal agencies, including the U.S. intelligence community, NASA, the U.S. Army and Air Force Medical Services. Carahsoft is a provider of GSA Schedule Contracts, which helps Federal agencies purchase off-the-shelf software, hardware, and other products.
