Jive Claims Government Gains

Portland-based Jive Software, a developer of social networking software for companies, is claiming that it has seen a huge increase in the firm's adoption by Federal government customers. The firm claims that it has seen a 900% increase in the number of people in the U.S. Federal Government using its software in less than a year. The firm said the uptick comes from organizations such as NASA, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force Medical Services and members of the U.S. intelligence community. The firm said its software is being used for such efforts as A-Space, a social network for U.S. intelligence analysts and a social network for Air Force Medical Services.
