MSNBC.com Buys EveryBlock

MSNBC.com, the online news joint venture between Microsoft and NBC, said today that it has acquired Chicago-based EveryBlock, a hyperlocal news and information web site currently operating in 15 cities. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. EveryBlock offers a site which allows users to type in their address, zip code, or neighborhood and see local news, photos, blog entries, and other information.
