Airbiquity Gains License Deal

Seattle-based Airbiquity, a developer of vehicle telematics and wireless communications products, disclosed Friday that it has licensed a number of the firm's patents to Motorola. Airbuiqity said the patents, which include U.S. patents number 6,681,121; 7,206,305; and, 7,221,669, will allow Motorola to provide TTY functionality in its GSM handsets, according to 3GPP specifications. Financial details of the patent licensing deal were not disclosed.
