Isilon Launches New Product, OEM Deal
Seattle-based Isilon Systems has launched a new product today, and also said it has signed on an OEM for the product. Isilon announced the Isilon IQ 200, a storage device that provides clustered storage to users. The new product is focused on low cost, clustered storage, and aims below the firm's existing enterprise products. The IQ 200 supports from 6TB to 48TB, versus Isilon's existing products which scale out to up to one Petabyte of capacity. Isilon also said it has signed on Harris Corporation as an OEM of the product. Harris will integrate Isilon's new product with is NEXIO video server platform.
