Opscode Gains $2.5M In Series A
Seattle-based Opscode announced Friday that the firm has raised $2.5M in a Series A funding for the firm's technology, which is focused on cloud infrastructure. The funding round came from Draper Fisher Jurvetson. According to the firm, the company's products help software developer and engineers to manage large-scale server and application deployment. The firm's CEO is Jesse Robbins, who comes to the firm from Amazon.com; other execs at the firm are Adam Jacob, who has been at HGK Solutiosn, Marches, and InfoSpace; Christopher Brown, a founder of Amazon's EC2 product; Barry Steinglass, from Microsoft; and Nathan Haneysmith, from IBM Global Services.
