Opscode Raises $19.5M
Seattle-based OPscode, the developer of cloud infrastructure automation and management software, said this morning that it has raised $19.5M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Ignition Partners, and also included Battery Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson, existing investors in the firm. Opscode, which is led by Mitch Hill, said the new funding will go to expand engineering, sales, marketing, and business development. John Connors of Ignition joins the company's board with the new funding round. Opscode's Chef software is used to help companies automate cloud deployment, setting up server configuration and deployment options. Opscode has now raised $33.0M in funding. More information »
