Amazon.com Launches Xbox LIVE Store

Seattle-based Amazon.com is reporting today that it has launched a beta of an online Xbox LIVE store, where it will allow its customers to purchase and gift Xbox LIVE games and subscriptions. According to Amazon.com, the new store will offer the ability to purchase games which were previously only available directly on the Xbox 360 console or Xbox.com. Microsoft said the move would help make its digital distribution "more mainstream."
