Amazon Instant Video Hits Xbox 360

Amazon.com and Microsoft said this morning that the two have launched access to Amazon's streaming video service, Amazon Instant Video, via the Xbox 360. The two said that the new Amazon Instant Video app for Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers will give subscribers access to the more than 17,000 movies and TV episodes that are available through Amazon's Prime members. Details on the deal between the companies were not announced. The new app also supports using the Kinect to control playback of videos by voice or gesture, ability to create a watchlist, and synchronizing streaming between the Xbox 360 and other devices supported by Amazon Instant Video.
