Coinstar Swizzles Exec Staff

Bellevue, Washington-based Coinstar said Tuesday that the firm has made a number of executive appointments, including appointment of Gregg Kaplan to President and Chief Operating Officer of the firm. Kaplan is the former CEO of Redbox Automated Retail, which Coinstar acquired in February. In addition to Kaplan, Coinstar said that it has named John Harvey as CFO; Mitch Lowe as President of Redbox; and Dora Summers-Ewing as Chief People officer. Harvey was the CFO of Redbox; Lowe was COO of Redbox, and Sumemrs-Ewing comes from Korn/Ferry International. Coinstar operates a network of automated kiosks in grocery stores and other locations, including DVD rental, coin counting, and other kiosks.
