NuScale Power Hires CFO

Corvallis, Oregon-based NuScale Power, which is developing technology for creating modular nuclear power plants, said today that it has hired on John "Jay" Surina as the firm's Chief Financial Officer. NuScale said that Surina joins the firm from Boart Longyear, and has also served at Texas Genco, Centrica North America, and Sithe Energies. NuSCale is spinning out technology developed at Oregon State University, for creating modular nuclear power plants producing 40 megawatts of electricity. NuScale is venture backed by CMEA Ventures.
