Getty Images Acquisition Of Jupiterimages Completes

Seattle-based Getty Images completed its acquisition of Jupiterimages Monday, in a deal that was worth $96M in cash. According to Jupitermedia, the firm has renamed itself WebMediaBrands Inc. Getty Images said it would acquire Jupiterimages in October. Jupiterimages was a provider of royalty-free, stock photography, offered to graphic designers and others. WebMediaBrands still runs web sites Internet.com, Mediabistro.com, and Graphics.com, sites which were not sold to Getty Images.
