Pelago Revs Whrrl Software

Seattle-based Pelago, the firm behind the mobile social networking software Whrrl , announced a beta of the firm's Whrrl v2.0 software last night, saying that it has upgraded its location-based software to allow users to share stories and photos. The beta software--which currently works on the Apple iPhone--now allows users to post photos, and comments in a "stream" of updates from friends, which the firm said is targeted at letting people both share in their experiences and remember events and occasions. Pelago is venture backed by Bezos Expeditions, DAG Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, Reliance Technology Ventures Limited, T-Mobile, and Trilogy Partners.
