Pelago's Whrrl Signs Kibbles 'n Bits
Seattle-based Pelago, the maker of the Whrrl mobile social networking and checkin software, has signed on the Kibbles 'n Bits dog food brand. The deal, made in conjunction with USA WEEKEND, will provide special offers, prizes, and recommendations via Whrrl's service. USA WEEKEND and Pelago said the deal is the first in a collaboration, which lets USA WEEKEND advertisers extend their print campaigns into the social shopping marketing space. Kibbles 'n Bits is a barnd owned by Del Monte Foods. USA WEEKEND and Pelago had earlier collaborated on a social media push by Marie Callendar's. USA WEEKEND is a circular which is inserted into national newspapers, reaching around 22.6 million people via 800 newspapers.
