Switchbox Labs Acquired by Lenovo

Seattle-based Switchbox Labs, a startup developing stealth consumer technologies, has been acquired by Lenovo, Lenovo said late Wednesday. Lenovo did not disclose financial terms of the buy. Switchbox was co-founded by Michael Sievert, Robert Dickinson, and Blake Ramsdell, and all will join Lenovo. The firm said that Sievert will be named Senior Vice President at the firm; Sievert was previously Corporate Vice President at Microsoft before co-founding Switchbox Labs, and has also been at At&T Wireless and E*TRADE. According to Lenovo, Switchbox's development projects are confidential, but will be integrated into Lenovo products in the future.
