Expedia To Power Travelocity Websites

In a move which will move Travelocity out of the technology development realm, Bellevue-based Expedia and Travelocity said last week that Expedia will power all of Travelocity's existing websites in the US and Canada, as part of a strategic marekting agreement. Travelocity said it will instead focus on promoting its brand and marketing its travel services. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The move makes Expedia the technology provider for Travelocity's travel booking websites. Travelocity is owned by travel services provider Sabre Technology.
