Mentor Graphics Invests In Romanian University
Wilsonville, Oregon-based electronic design automation software maker Mentor Graphics said Thursday that the firm has donated more than $20M in EDA software to a university in Romania. According to Mentor, it has donated the software to the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi, in Romania, as part of a new microelectronics development laboratory. The donation will help students there learn functional verification and field-programmable gate array (FGPA) design and analysis. Mentor regularly provides its EDA tools to universities and colleges for classroom instruction and academic research.
