Isilon Sees Growth In Asia Pacific
Seattle-based Isilon Systems Inc., a provider of clustered storage systems and related software, revealed Monday that it has witnessed a great deal of growth throughout the Asia Pacific region. According to Isilon, more than 75 customers from the Pacific Rim and Far East have now deployed clustered storage systems from Isilon. Exact financial impact of those wins were not disclosed. Isilon said that those clients include Petro China, INX Network, China National Offshore Oil Co. and SBS of Australia. Additionally, Isilon noted that it has added many channel sales and distribution partners throughout the Asia Pacific region, including Beijing Cluster Consolidation, Digistar and Blueprint Global Services. In a related move, Isilon said it has promoted Michael Burnie to vice president and general manager of its Asia Pacific operations.
