Isilon Opens Asia Pacific Ops, Shuffles Staff
Isilon Systems, a provider of clustered storage systems and related software, announced Tuesday that it has launched various business operations in Asia Pacific and shuffled its executive staff with several new hirings and promotions. Isilon said it has opened business offices and established channel partnerships in Australia, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. The Seattle-based company also said it has licensed its Isilon IQ storage architecture to several Asia Pacific businesses, including Rhythm & Hues India, Rising Sun Pictures, Thomson neTVision, Turner Entertainment Networks Asia Inc., Video 8 and Walt Disney Television Singapore. In a related move, the company said Tom Pettigrew, who was previously vice president of global sales partners, has been promoted to vice president and general manager of Asia Pacific business operations. Isilon also reported the hiring of Tony Regier as vice president of global channel sales and David Skillern as vice president of global services. Isilon noted that Regier joins the company from MSI System Integrators, while Skillern hails from Network Appliance. Additionally, Keenan Conder, Isilon's vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, has been added to the executive team, the company said.
