Virtugo Software Goes Dark
Beaverton, Oregon-based Virtugo Software, which was developing software for managing server virtualization platforms, appears to have disappeared, and now has its assets up for sale. The firm, which was formerly known as uxComm, has its assets up for sale by well known Silicon Valley auction firm CowanAlexander. According to CowanAlexander, it is auctioning off all of uXcomm's servers, networking equipment, notebook computers, monitors, office equipment, computer parts, intellectual property assets, source code, trademarks and more, in a foreclosure sale by order of Silicon Valley Bank. Virtugo Software--which changed its name from uXComm in June of last year--had been venture funded by Foundation Capital and OVP Venture Partners. The firm has raised at least $22M in funding. The firm's web site is down, and the company's phone number has been disconnected.
